It happened in my back yard in upstate NY. A flock of migrating gross beaks stopped in my back yard and I m Mostly Peace Love And Light t shirt. The cherries had been laying on the ground for many days and started to ferment. The grosbeaks ate them and became so intoxicated that couldn’t fly. We had to make sure that none of the neighborhood cats stayed out of the yard till the birds sobered up.
