However, I will say that the last time I flew Southwest I thought they announced that pre-boarders were pre-approved. I could have Deena Hinshaw We Are In This Together Tee Shirts . One still saved all 6 seats. My husband needs an aisle seat for a bad knee. Therefore, we always pay the fee to get a higher boarding number so we can get that aisle seat. He would never think of preboarding for that. Ironically, I chose to book United for our upcoming flight with our grandson. I just didn’t want to go through this again or pay an extra $150. And the fares weren’t that different, surprisingly.
