That said, after a great opening act that sets up Sadako’s journey and her transformation into the long haired onryo from the Women USC Trojans Girl shirt of the series, the film phases into a long and somewhat dull second act that focuses more on side characters than the characterization of Sadako herself. In effect, we barely get to know her in this film any better than we did in the prior ones, she’s just a beautiful, quiet girl in an acting troupe.
