I’m going to preface this with I totally support higher taxes for Los Angeles Lakers NBA 2020 Western Conference Champions T-Shirt. However the idea that you can be living paycheck to paycheck isn’t entirely unfounded, my wife and I make about 400k a year and due to student loans 5k a month, childcare costs 3k a month, and we do save the max in our 401k we don’t have anything left at the end of the year. We live in a small house, don’t drive fancy cars and except for takeout are decently frugal. But to be clear, I’m doing very well and would happily pay higher taxes on anything over 200k and anyone bitching about having to has a huge empathy problem.
