I felt the same way at first but then I realized this- Your relationship with them was based on a mutual ideology and Poster to my dad i know its not easy poster. Once you remove that foundation, the relationship has no grounds. I am still friends with my childhood church friends because we had a real friendship based on experiences that didn’t revolve around the church. But the church has a toxic way of making the members believe they should only associate with like-minded people, for fear of being corrupted or put in an uncomfortable situation. It’s pretty fucked up. And lonely for the members I think too. They can only hang out with each other, ugh lol.
