English is taught here to students as early as 5 years old. We were taught that Spain were bad and US were the best but in actuality no which explains why even many modern day Filipinos highly favor the US, regard those who speak fluent English as rich and intelligent and their first choice ofShotgun Sweetie Shirt tee is the US. As to what Alberto said, they come to Spain (and also in other non-English speaking countries) without knowledge of the country’s lingua franca and have difficulty learning it.
