But each band on each stage had to practice a few tunes to work out the technical aspects, set up and break down, stage sets, and everything else. All the food booths and craft booths had to bring in their equipment and wares. The food kitchens had to test everything and feed the crews that were on site and the performers. This was known as “Locals’ Day.” It was a sort of dress rehearsal run through for all involved. It was never publicized in my day and a limited number of tickets were available to the public dirt cheap. You just had to be connected to get any and someone among our group of friends always had a connection.
