There are many stereotypes about Arkansas that are simply not true…as with every stereotype. I’ve lived in Arkansas for 9 years cumulative and probably will spend much of theIsland Hoppers Helicopter Charter Service Shirt tee of my life here as I’ve found it to be very cool in very many ways. The following represents the extremes from a large sample of interactions beginning in 2002. Many of these attitudes have liberalized to some degree in the past decade plus. Many (if not most) of my friends fall in the deist/agnostic/atheist range. But it is true that we are essentially the buckle in the Bible Belt and thus I’ve had some odd things happen along the way. Start with 8 AM on my first day of work in Arkansas — having my boss ask me which church I went to. Hearing that question at least another twenty times in the next week. Being told by a woman that she really liked me and the sex was great, but we couldn’t date because I was going to hell.
