My grandmother immigrated from Yugoslavia back in the 30’s. She traveled alone at the age of 17. My father years later, would tease her that she was ‘Srong like bull’of I Became A Teacher Because Your Life Is Worth My Time Apple World shirt. This lady reminds me very much of her. It’s hard to overcome pain and adversity. Real hard. But she sure did! She is a beautiful, shining example of a life well lived. Even sweeter that it’s a do-over life.
