I wear hijab and Pennywise It holding balloon Chicago Cubs shirt modestly, and when I visited Casablanca I got a lot more stares than I was expecting. I’m still not sure why. I’m not white, I think I could pass for Moroccan, I wasn’t alone, I was dressed modestly, etc. Maybe it’s just a cultural difference. For example I know desi men stare a lot too. However all the men encountered were very respectful. I did feel uncomfortable with all the stares, but I didn’t feel unsafe and I can’t wait to visit again.
